Often we experience trials that necessitate help from an experienced counselor who is trained in God’s Word. Whether it’s personal trials, emotional struggles, parenting assistance, marriage enrichment, or a combination of the above, an trained, experienced, and kind biblical counselor can be of significant help. While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, it is likely that a biblical counselor will meet with you and your family for approximately 8-12 one-hour sessions to help equip you with God’s Word as it pertains to your circumstances.
A consultation is another way of saying that we simply need advice from someone more experienced. But we don’t want advice from the wisdom of man, rather we want advice from God’s Word. Biblical consultations may also be necessary for organizations in developing programs, ending programs, structuring classes, teaching biblical counseling, hiring/releasing employees, securing counseling case guidance, and a myriad of other needs.
One of the most complex issues we can face in life is interpersonal and organizational conflict. Conflict can destroy unity in a home, a church, and a workplace. Biblical conciliators are individuals who are highly experienced, theologically/organizationally trained, and familiar with complex environments with conflict. Our conciliators utilize the sufficient Word of God to help minister peace in times of conflict so that people and organizations can have peace with God and peace with each other. Due to a need to gather significant details, meet with key parties (most meetings take place via Zoom with representative parties), and provide a notarized Peacemaking Plan, in most cases, we require a 20-hour commitment with possible 5-hour incremental additions.
Often, we need a third-party to analyze our life, relationships, and habits, and provide biblically informed recommendations. These are often one to 1.5 hour meetings for a duration of 4-5 meetings total.
